About this resource

Use this guide to find a focused activity from Rigorous Reading: An In-Depth Guide for Any Novel, Grades 3-5 without searching through the full book each time.

The main reference chart organizes sheets that can be used as a student works through a book, such as after a chapter or section. Activities are grouped by the skills they support, including comprehension, plot, characters, theme, point of view, vocabulary, author choices, and text evidence.

Additional sections identify activities to use before beginning a book, after finishing a book, and when comparing two books.

The guide prioritizes sheets designed for individual or one-on-one use and includes select collaborative activities when they can be adapted easily for a single learner.

This is an independently created, unofficial companion resource. The Rigorous Reading book and its reproducible activity sheets are not included and must be obtained separately.
