Tools for Every Lesson

Lesson Loft ("Lesson Loft", "we", "us") provides ad-free, kid-safe learning tools for families, teachers, and providers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use lessonloft.app, our tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), and how we use and protect that information.

Account information (adult users). When you create an account or sign in with email or Single Sign-On (SSO), we collect your name, email address, and password (for email sign-in) or a secure token from the SSO provider (for example, Google or Apple).
Profiles for children or students. You may create profiles to organize work for children or students, such as a first name or nickname and optional details like grade or age range. You are not required to use a child's full legal name.
Support and feedback. If you contact us by email or through forms, we collect the information you send, such as your name, email address, and message.
Usage data. We collect basic information about how you use the Service, such as which tools you open, simple timestamps and durations (for example, timer sessions or routines), and which features are used. We use this to keep the Service working well and to understand what is most helpful.
Device and technical data. We may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and error or performance logs to help secure and troubleshoot the Service.
Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and help protect your account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
When you choose to sign in with a Single Sign-On provider (such as Google or Apple), we receive information that provider shares with us, typically:

Service providers. We use trusted service providers to help operate Lesson Loft, such as hosting, authentication, database, email delivery, and logging or analytics services. These providers are allowed to use your information only to provide services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lesson Loft, our users, or others.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you or a child.
Lesson Loft is designed for use by adults (such as parents, guardians, teachers, and providers) on behalf of children. Children do not create their own accounts and should not provide their own email addresses directly to us.
Adults may create profiles for children or students inside their accounts. These profiles are used only to organize learning and track progress within Lesson Loft and are not publicly visible.
If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian's consent, we will delete that information. If you believe this has happened, please contact us at hello@lessonloft.app.
Access and updates. You can update basic account information, such as your name, in your account settings.
Profiles and tool data. You can add, edit, or delete child profiles and learning data (such as timer sessions or routines) inside the app.
Account deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting hello@lessonloft.app. We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, security logs), but we aim to keep what we store as minimal as possible.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we work to keep Lesson Loft a safe and private space.
Lesson Loft is based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner in the app or an email).
Your continued use of Lesson Loft after any changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
