Lesson Loft Resource License

Last updated: July 12, 2026

This license applies to downloadable PDF resources purchased or otherwise obtained from Lesson Loft.

License at a Glance

Each resource includes a license for use by either:

  • One household with the children who live in that household
  • One individual educator, tutor, therapist, provider, or other professional with the students or children they personally serve

You may print and use the resource as often as needed for those permitted users. You may not share the original digital file with other adults, households, educators, classrooms, organizations, or online groups.

Purchasing or receiving a resource grants permission to use it under this license. It does not transfer ownership of the resource or its copyright.

Who May Use a Resource

Household Use

A household license allows the purchaser to use the resource with children who live in the purchaser's household.

The purchaser may:

  • Save the resource on personal, password-protected devices or storage accounts
  • Print copies for children in the household
  • Reuse the resource with more than one child in the same household
  • Share completed student work with the child's teachers, providers, or other members of the child's educational team

A household license may not be shared with another household, homeschool family, co-op member, caregiver, or educator.

Individual Educator or Provider Use

An individual educator or provider license allows one purchaser to use the resource with the students, clients, or children they personally teach or directly serve.

This may include one individual:

  • Classroom teacher
  • Homeschool instructor
  • Tutor
  • Therapist
  • Special education provider
  • Related-service provider
  • Interventionist
  • Child-care or enrichment provider

The licensed individual may print copies for their directly served students or clients. The license belongs to the individual purchaser and does not extend to coworkers, teaching partners, substitutes, departments, grade-level teams, schools, clinics, tutoring companies, co-ops, or other organizations.

Each additional adult who wants to use the resource with their own students or clients must obtain a separate license unless Lesson Loft has provided written permission for broader use.

Permitted Uses

Under this license, you may:

  • Download and save a personal copy of the resource
  • Print copies for permitted household members or directly served students
  • Display the resource on a personal device, classroom display, or interactive board while working with permitted users
  • Use the resource during individual, small-group, or classroom instruction led by the licensed educator
  • Provide individual student-use pages through a password-protected learning platform accessible only to the licensed educator and their current students
  • Send a student their own assigned page or completed work
  • Make reasonable accommodations for permitted users

Reasonable accommodations may include:

  • Enlarging text or pages
  • Reducing the number of questions or tasks
  • Adding visual supports or highlighting
  • Increasing writing space
  • Breaking an activity into smaller sections
  • Converting a page into an accessible format for a particular learner
  • Allowing oral, typed, dictated, or alternative responses

Any accommodated or adapted version remains covered by this license and may not be redistributed.

Uses That Are Not Permitted

Unless Lesson Loft gives written permission, you may not:

  • Email, message, transfer, or otherwise give the original digital file to another person
  • Share the resource with another household, educator, tutor, therapist, provider, or classroom
  • Upload the resource to a public website, public classroom page, social-media group, file-sharing service, or open online community
  • Place the resource in a school-wide, organization-wide, departmental, clinic, co-op, or shared staff drive
  • Upload the complete resource to a learning-management system accessible to educators or students outside the licensed user's own current group
  • Sell, sublicense, rent, trade, or give away the resource
  • Include the resource in another paid or free product
  • Extract and redistribute pages, graphics, text, templates, prompts, or other elements as standalone materials
  • Remove copyright, branding, license, or attribution notices
  • Claim the resource or an adapted version as your own work
  • Use the resource primarily to create a competing product for sale or distribution

Sharing a link to the public Lesson Loft product page is always permitted and encouraged.

Group, School, Clinic, and Organization Use

A standard purchase does not provide a school-wide, clinic-wide, company-wide, co-op, department, or multi-educator license.

If several adults within an organization want to use the same resource, each adult must obtain an individual license unless Lesson Loft offers or approves a separate group or institutional license.

Contact Lesson Loft before using a resource across multiple educators, providers, households, classrooms, or locations.

Digital Classroom Use

A licensed educator may provide student-use pages to their current students through a closed, password-protected classroom platform when:

  • Access is limited to the licensed educator and the students they directly teach
  • Only the pages needed for the assignment are provided
  • The resource is not added to a reusable school-wide or organization-wide library
  • Access is removed when it is no longer needed for the class or assignment

Do not post Lesson Loft resources on publicly accessible websites or platforms.

Ownership and Copyright

Lesson Loft resources, including their original text, organization, graphics, layouts, prompts, and other creative elements, remain the property of Lesson Loft or their respective credited owners.

All rights not expressly granted by this license are reserved.

A purchase provides a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the resource. It does not transfer copyright ownership or grant permission to redistribute the resource.

Third-Party Books and Materials

Some Lesson Loft resources are designed for use alongside a separately published book, curriculum, or other third-party material.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Third-party books and materials are not included with the Lesson Loft resource
  • Purchasers are responsible for obtaining any required third-party materials separately
  • References to third-party titles, publishers, trademarks, or products do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement
  • All third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners

Product pages will identify required companion materials when applicable.

Access, Downloads, and Updates

Purchased resources are associated with the purchaser's Lesson Loft account and are available through My Library while Lesson Loft continues to operate the resource-download service.

Purchasers should download and retain a personal backup copy of each resource.

Lesson Loft may replace a file with a corrected or improved version. Existing purchasers may receive access to those updates when applicable. A substantially expanded or newly designed edition may be offered as a separate product rather than as a free update.

If a purchaser loses access to the account used for the purchase, Lesson Loft may ask for the original purchase email, receipt, order information, or other reasonable proof before restoring access to a replacement account.

Refunds, Reversals, and Revoked Access

Refunded, reversed, fraudulent, or successfully disputed purchases may no longer qualify for continued download access.

If access was granted by mistake, obtained without authorization, or used in material violation of this license, Lesson Loft may revoke future account access to the resource.

Revocation of account access does not grant permission to retain, use, or redistribute copies in violation of this license.

Educational Use and Results

Lesson Loft resources are educational tools. They do not provide individualized medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or special education advice and do not replace services from a qualified professional.

Lesson Loft does not guarantee a particular academic, behavioral, therapeutic, or educational result. Adults should choose and adapt resources based on the needs of the children or students they support.

Termination

This license remains in effect unless its terms are materially violated.

If the license is terminated because of a violation, the user must stop using and sharing the resource and delete unauthorized digital copies. Completed student work does not need to be destroyed.

Lesson Loft may choose to resolve minor or accidental violations by asking the user to correct the issue or obtain the appropriate additional license.

Rights Provided by Law

Nothing in this license is intended to limit a right that cannot legally be restricted, including uses permitted by applicable copyright law.

Changes to This License

Lesson Loft may update this license for future purchases as its resource offerings and licensing options change.

The license presented at the time a resource is purchased generally governs that purchase unless a later version gives the purchaser additional permissions.
